Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes. Eph 6:11
Everyday we awaken and upon rising, dress
for the day. We become completely clothed
before walking out the door to face the
rigors of the day.
Paul tells us in Ephesians 6 we are to add
"well-made weapons of the best
materials...to stand up to everything the
Devil throws your way....a life-or-death
fight to the finish..." (Eph 6:10-12
MSG). Get fully dressed to prepare for
the day.
He uses the analogy of armor which we can
apply daily. But in order to adorn this
armor we must be aware of what it is and be
knowledgeable in its use. (click

- Adorn your body with the breastplate
of righteousness which guards your heart
and keeps you in right standing before
God allowing you to receive his
blessings.
- Keep the belt of truth securely
buckled around your waist so that you
will know the truth.
- Secure the helmet of salvation upon
your head allowing you to keep a clear
mind that you may serve God.
- Place upon your feet shoes from the
peace that comes from knowing the gospel
so that you will not stray.
- Grab tightly the sword of Spirit,
God's Word, to attack and defend
yourself.
- Finally, pick up the shield of faith that you may deflect and put out the flaming attacks of the devil.
Before you consider yourself fully dressed
today, check that your armor is firmly in
place.
