I'm telling you, once and for all, that unless you return to square one and start over like children, you're not even going to get a look at the kingdom, let alone get in.   Matt 18:3  MSG

HAPPY NEW YEAR and welcome to the year 2007!!  Did you make any new year’s resolutions? New Year’s brings about a chance to start over, begin life anew, make changes.   For the last several years a new year for me meant a new diet, slower life style, more study time and exercise. For some this is the motivation needed to move forward, for most (for me), it is a great idea that lasts about 10 days. I need to return to square one and start over.

When you look back at your life the past year you will find some successes, some failures, and some regrets. I am thankful that God is a God of second chances. No matter how many times I mess up, He is there to lift me up, brush off the dust and push me forward. Look at the story about the woman at the well, (John 4:1-42). Jesus, a jew, spoke to a samaritan woman; this was never done! He told her all she had done and she was amazed he knew so much about her. She realized he must be the messiah they had heard of and went to tell the others. Her life was changed by meeting him and the lives of many others also changed because she told them of him and took many to see him.  Because of Christ she had a second chance at life eternal.

Accepting Christ as Lord and Savior offers that new beginning. “Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead (Phil 3:13). Don’t look back at the times you tried and failed, look ahead to the work God has for you staying focused on “the prize for which God has called me heavenward, Christ Jesus” (Phil 3:14)

I encourage you to start this year by starting a more intimate relationship with God. Take time to listen to Him in prayer, begin a daily Bible reading. There are several online Bible readings. You can have daily verses sent to your email from www.leftbehindprophecy.com or www.klove.com.  You can listen to daily Bible reading through itunes or mp3 at www.dailyaudiobible.com or you can download reading a reading program at www.crosswalk.com. Use whatever is most helpful to you and helps you to grow.

Praying you will have a blessed and prosperous year in the Lord     BearyAnn
