“I was not born to be a movie star, I was born to be a servant of God.”  Eduardo Verastegui

I just returned from a preview of an upcoming movie, Bella, starring Eduardo Verastegui. As a principal partner in the production company, Metanoia Films, he is committed to making movies that matter and have the potential to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

Bella is the story of a man with a past, a woman who sees no future, and the family that surrounds them. This inspiring story is thought provoking, timely and sure to tug at your heart strings.

This preview was sponsored in part by Mike and Shara Sweeney. Mike is known as a player for the Kansas City Royals baseball team but his first passion is for the Lord.  He greeted the audience of nearly 700 people and shared his desire for the future of this movie. Eduardo spoke to the group after the viewing and explained how his prayer is that movies that are relevant and meaningful become more prominent out of Hollywood. “Art can influence a society”.  He strives to bring about movies that you could watch with your family and not have to cover their eyes.

You can view the trailer on U-Tube.  Winner at the Toronto Film Festival, this film could be Oscar material.

I enjoyed the movie and was touched by the story line and encourage you to see this film.
