Sing praises to the name of the Lord.  Psalm 7:17 NAS

The Book of Psalm is filled with David “singing praises to the Lord”. As a shepherd he was often alone and his songs would be soothing to the sheep.  Some people might say they have a voice that could only be used all along in the fields.

Do you join in the singing with the congregation or do you just stand or sit there waiting for it to be over? Do you join in but listen critically to those around you wondering why they are bothering to sing? SING TO THE LORD. During the singing part of worship, remember you are there to worship!!  Sing TO THE LORD. Focus on Him, not on where you will be going to dinner after the service, not on the people of the congregation. God wants to speak to you. Are you listening?
