Why doesn’t Santa visit the poor?

Posted by: BearyAnn   in TeddyBear Thoughts

“Why doesn’t Santa visit the poor?” This was asked of me by my 6 year old daughter. She had been watching commercials stating some people wouldn’t have a Christmas if you don’t give. She didn’t understand how Santa would only visit you if you were not poor. We had to have the “santa talk”.

I am excited to know that Jesus loves us whether we are rich or poor. He can to earth for everyone, not just those who could afford it. And to help prove it, our saviour was born in a stable, not at the local Ritz Hotel or best hospital.

The holiday song “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” states “he doesn’t care if you’re rich or poor, he loves you just the same”. That may not be true of Santa, but it is definitely true of Jesus Christ.
